Landa Library
Choosing a location for a family photo can be challenging but it doesn't have to be. Using a place that your family often visits can help create authentic moments of joy. Landa Library located in San Antonio, Texas held a special place in this families heart so it was the perfect choice for a family photo session. The Landa gardens offered some beautiful backdrops for posed portraits while the playground provided a nice escape for the kiddos and a chance to catch some genuine emotions and lifestyle photos. All of my family photography sessions include both posed pictures with everyone looking and smiling at the camera and lifestyle photography; moments of interaction among family members captured as memories to last a lifetime. A session typically starts with the traditional posed, everyone smiling and looking at the camera picture. This gives everyone an opportunity to warm up. As family members relax and ease into the photo session, we'll begin to have more fun and work on getting some candid moments and authentic interactions. My family photography sessions typically last an hour; I mention this for your planning purposes only. I use your family as a gauge, if everyone is enjoying themselves and the sunlight is magical I will continue to shoot beyond that hour time frame.
Other great location options for family photo sessions in the San Antonio and surrounding areas include Phil Hardeberger Park, The Historic Pearl, Cibolo Center for Conservation and Joshua Springs Park and Preserve to name a few.
