Savannah reached out to me with a vision; a Downtown vintage vibe engagement session. She had come across a photo on my website that had a vintage feel and wanted that for her and Christian's session. Though this is my third time living in San Antonio; I've only been back for two years and haven't spent much time Downtown. One Saturday morning I packed up my family and camera and headed into downtown San Antonio for a picture walk. Tucked through out San Antonio city blocks I was amazed at the intricacy of the architecture and the beautiful staircases hiding along the San Antonio Riverwalk. I snapped some pictures of locations I thought we could use and sent them to Christian and Savannah. Savannah shared with me the spots she liked best and from there our session was built. From planning to editing, "Downtown vintage vibe" was guiding our session. Sharing images that inspire you or that you want to emulate can be so helpful in determining location, poses and editing style. Creating a Pinterest board can be helpful. Communication and collaboration between client and photographer is key to bringing your vision for your engagement session to life.
